Taral’s Furaffinity pages (Mature login required) with the comment:

Metal of your choice, since the artwork isn't colour. But is it solid or is it a shell? One way to tell is with a file. If you can cut through, then it's a shell. If you end up with a groove half an inch deep, it was solid. Pity to mar a perfectly good statue either way, though.

But there is another, obvious way.

As an aside, I might suggest that this was caused by some
kind of Alchemy, but I wouldn't want anyone to Panic.
