I’m grateful to Taral Wayne for pointing this one out and supplying cleaned-up scans, which I’ve further adjusted for contrast. Al Capp’s long-running strip Li’l Abner isn’t particularly well-known in my native England, so left to my own devices I’d probably never have stumbled across this 6-page gem. The story concerns a Slobbovian girl who desperately wants to be a Hollywood star - but it seems the only way she can enter the USA is by becoming a work of art...
