A Trip to Diana Louis M. Glackens, Puck Magazine, 1910
Here’s something I found on the Library of Congress website and digitally spruced up for your viewing pleasure. A drunken gentleman leans out of a “taxiplane” and attempts to abduct the bronze rooftop statue of the goddess Diana (the one on the old Madison Square Gardens). I love how the statue looks as if she’s aware of what’s happening and can’t move to stop it.
