The actual letting in of the jungle takes place much more quickly in the comic. In the story, the process of
driving out the villagers takes several months, rather than what appears in the comic to be a few minutes!
Also in the story Mowgli stays hidden during this period; therefore Buldeo and his men have no need -
nor opportunity - to threaten him again. Nor need he summon birds and bats to fly at the men’s faces.
